The Producer's Lab is a production focused series facilitated by sound artist Anju Singh with a featured guest Producer working in sound and music in the areas of experimental, electronic, sound art, improv, and noise contexts in each session. Sessions will include a demonstration of production techniques followed by discussion and analysis of submitted segments provided by selected participants.

To submit a segment of a track for playback, analysis, feedback, and discussion during the session, please send a wav file to info@anjusingh.com and please include the timestamp for 2-3 minutes to playback during the session. A note that number of segments shared during the session will be dependent on session time.

Mix 001 will feature One Leg One Eye, the project of Ian Lynch (founding member of Irish group Lankum). One Leg One Eye explores submerged leylines of music and song, drawing on the raw aesthetics of black metal, noise and drone, while also being deeply embued with a sense of history and myth. In live performances he is joined by score composer and veteran noise-monger George Brennan (BB84, Melodica Deathship, Cholera House).
Their Debut album …And Take The Black Worm With Me (released on Nyahh Records in 2022) is a slow burning suite of five expansive songscapes that has found its audience largely by word of mouth. Partly recorded in an abandoned Dublin factory where his father worked when he was a child, Lynch’s harrowing vocals are underpinned by vast pillars of uileann pipe drones, overlaid with effects and field recordings to conjure up a sound that is at once dark, mysterious and ultimately transcendental.

For this session, One Leg One Eye will be sharing production techniques explored in their yet-to-be-released upcoming record. This session will provide a sneak peak into the album.

Please note that this event will NOT be a live performance of One Leg One Eye's material, but we invite you to please join us for their concert the next night at KW Studios: https://www.showpass.com/vancouver-noise-fest-presents.../.
